This piece is a real rarity in excellent condition, the first camouflage US military jacket produced in its era ( only prior camouflaged was worn in the 40s by the US Marines in the pacific theatre ) This was only used for one year this same jacket pattern was used in prior years in the 60s but replaced by the standard cut of field jacket and the later Woodland camouflage in darker and more standardised saturated colours. later reintroduced for less standard use the tilted breast pockets are a special feature only use on the special operations jackets. Another special feature is the USMC stamp on the left breast pocket, and of course the use of the ultra light ripstop material which is the finest material for jungle conditions with wind proof capabilities.
